Our History
1972
E B. Abel Construction founded as a sitework excavation company.
2005
ABEL RECON is launched under the Abel companies' umbrella.
ABEL RECON accepts Sprayroq partnership and becomes the Mid-Atlantic Sprayroq Certified Partner for North American.
ABEL RECON awarded Project of the Year by Sprayroq.
2006
ABEL RECON completes the 660' sanitary box culvert in Ridley Twp., launching the company into large dimensional structural rehabilitation market.
2007
ABEL RECON awarded Sprayroq's "Roq" Presidents Award for excellence.
ABEL RECON enters the GRP/UV cured pipe lining market as the Certified System Installer for Reline America's Alphaliner, the first in North America.
2009
ABEL RECON completes the first, fully structural Spraywall storm culvert rehabilitation for PennDOT.
2010
ABEL RECON completes first ever individual contract of over 100,000 linear feet of GRP/UV cured pipe lining for New Castle County, DE.
2011
ABEL RECON expands Infrastructure Rehabilitation offerings into the state of Ohio.
2013
ABEL RECON sets the standard for PennDOT cured-in-place pipe lining by introducing the Alphaliner GRP/UV cured pipe lining for storm pipe lining to the state's highway department.

First ODOT culvert rehabilitation project completed utilizing Sprayroq spray applied polyurethanes.
2015
First GRP/UV cured pipe lining and Spraywall structural rehabilitation of NJDOT road drainage structures.
2016
ABEL RECON is invited to present a case study abstract "Advancements in Trenchless Technologies" at the annual Delaware Rural Water Conference.
2017
Hits company milestone of 750,000 linear feet of GRP/UV cured pipe liner installed to date.
2018
Marks completion of the Spraywall lining of the DC Water's newly constructed Poplar Point Pump Station. Largest structure lined with Sprayroq to date.
2022
Hits company milestone of 1,000,000 linear feet of GRP/UV cured pipe liner installed to date.

The Abel organization draws from over 50 years of experience in site infrastructure and heavy construction involving the installation of new facilities on land development projects.
